Handyman & trade services

Your trusted handyman.
Work done right every time

TOC Trade and Services is an Australian handyman business that takes on carpentry, doors, painting, decking, tiling, flat-pack and property maintenance, all quoted at a fixed price before the work starts.

  • Quoted up front

A fixed price before the work starts, not after.

  • One tradesman

The person who quotes the job is the person who does it.

  • Left clean

Drop sheets down, dust vacuumed, offcuts taken away.

  • Backed after

If something is not right, it gets put right.

Why the small jobs go wrong

The problem was never the job

Small jobs are hard to get done because they are too small for a specialist and too fiddly for a Saturday. So the door keeps sticking, the tile stays cracked, and the list gets longer. TOC exists for exactly that list.

The pattern is always the same. You ring three trades about a job worth a few hundred dollars. Two do not call back, because the travel costs them more than the work pays. The third quotes an hourly rate, arrives without the right fixing for your wall type, and leaves to go to a hardware store on your clock. Nine months later you are still stepping over it.

The fix is unglamorous. Quote a fixed price so the incentive to go slow disappears. Turn up with the tools and the fixings for the wall you actually have, which means asking about it beforehand. Batch the small things into one visit so a single call-out covers ten repairs instead of one. Put drop sheets down first, and vacuum instead of sweeping. None of that is clever. It is just the difference between a job that gets finished and a job that gets rescheduled.

“Work done right every time” is not a slogan about ambition. It is a statement about scope: take on what you can finish properly, and finish it properly.

What we take on

Seven kinds of job

Not everything, and nothing that needs a licence we do not hold. This is the list, and it is the whole list.

One visit

The list gets shorter

Ten small repairs booked as a single job. One call-out, one tidy-up, one invoice, instead of nine trades who never called back.

The detail

Level, plumb, and closed

The parts nobody photographs: the shelf that sits flat, the door that shuts on the first push, the silicone line that does not go black in six months.

Your turn

Send us the list

How it runs

Four steps, no surprises

The quote you agree to is the invoice you get. Everything below exists to make that true.

  1. 01

    Tell us what stopped working

A message and a photo is usually enough. If it needs a look, we come and look before quoting anything.

  2. 02

    A fixed price, in writing

One number covering labour and materials, with what is included spelled out. No hourly rate that grows while you watch.

  3. 03

    The work, in one visit

Drop sheets down before tools come out. Most jobs on this list are finished the day they start.

  4. 04

    Cleaned up, checked with you

Offcuts taken away, floor vacuumed, and a walk-through before we leave. If something is not right, it gets put right.

Before you call

The six questions we get most

01

What does TOC Trade and Services do?

TOC Trade and Services is an Australian handyman and trade services business handling carpentry and timber repairs, doors and hardware, painting and plaster patching, decking and fencing, small tiling jobs, flat-pack assembly and installation, and ongoing property maintenance for homes and rental properties.

02

How much does a handyman job cost?

Every job is quoted as a fixed price before work starts, so the number you agree to is the number you pay. Price depends on the scope, the materials and how long the work takes. Send through a description and a photo and you will get a written quote back rather than an hourly estimate.

03

Do you do electrical or plumbing work?

No. Electrical, plumbing, gas and structural work are licensed trades in Australia and fall outside handyman scope. If a job turns out to need one of them, you will be told before anything starts rather than halfway through.

04

Can you handle a whole list of small jobs at once?

Yes, and that is usually the cheapest way to do it. Batching ten small repairs into one visit removes nine call-out charges. Landlords and agents use this before inspections and between tenancies.

05

How quickly can you start?

It depends on the size of the job and what is already booked. Small repairs can often be fitted in within the same week. Send the details through and you will get a realistic date, not an optimistic one.

06

Do you clean up afterwards?

Yes. Drop sheets go down before the tools come out, dust gets vacuumed rather than swept, and offcuts and packaging leave with the van. The room should look like the only thing that changed is the thing that was fixed.
